program fee Scholarships

RFC is able to offer scholarships to help cover part or all of the cost of program fees for some Apprenticeship, Regenerative Farming Fellowship, and Beginning Farmer Event series participants. Priority is given to scholarship applicants who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, or other Person of Color, LGBTQIA+, military veteran, impacted by the carceral system, or low-income. Scholarships can cover some or all of a participant’s program fee depending on the needs of the individual participants and RFC’s Scholarship budget.

Please indicate if you’d like to request a scholarship in your application to our programs. Once position placements are confirmed, we will work with our scholarship budget to meet the scholarship needs of placed participants as best we can.

Some additional stipend funds are available to cover a portion of Apprentices’ and Regenerative Farming Fellows’ travel expenses to distant RFC educational events.

Other opportunities for financial assistance are the California Certified Organic Farmers' Future Organic Farmer Fund and the National Young Farmers Young Farmer Grant Program.
